Literature Text
A haven then, set in a hill
With two trees bare and unashamed.
One bore life while one could fill
A cup with thickly flowing thought
And drive the couple cursed and blamed,
From Eden or the parking lot.

children,
their fingers kissing
by the palms;
Thirteen years,
that is how long they've

"You know," she
murmurs, leaning in.
"Your heart is cold."
He stiffens, breaks
from her touch.
"What?"
"I meant your hands-
your hands are cold."
"I know."
She smiles, then,

I Love You Still
I will love you from a distance
A seashell on the shore that listens
And yet I cannot hold your hand-
The jealous sea turns rock to sand.
A poisoned heartache on my lips,
Still, mind to mind our shadows kiss
But without lust of human touch
I can not hope for very much.
I will watch you as the moon:
Listen to the stars that croon,
Remember that I love you still
As summer fades to winter's chill.
I curse the ache of ravaged time
And long for days when you were mine,
Once, long ago, when we were free
You swore that you would wait for me--
But if new love should come to you
I will not think you've been untrue,

Ok so this is two stories...
One is about the start of Genesis, the other is about sex in a carpark.
I suppose the poem is supposed to provoke thought about the morals surrounding sexuality...
